Ankita tops in International debate competition

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Sept 6: Ankita Sharma, resident of Jammu & Kashmir and student at the National Law University, Shimla again brought laurels to the country by emerging as the International Winner of 1st IMS International Debate Competition 2021 amongst 11 countries participated by 506 participants on the aflame motion, ‘Diplomacy on COVID vaccine patent: a necessary evil.’
Rolling through the dicey motions in the preliminary and semifinal rounds, Ankita paved her way to the International Grand Finale where she won hearts with her argumentative skills vehemently opposing the motion and advocating waiver of COVID Vaccine Patent; resultantly making the medicine available quickly, cheaply and fairly in the third world countries.
She is also recipient of ‘Popular Speaker of India’ award and has a plethora of national and international debating and mooting achievements to her credit.
