UDHAMPUR Jan 30: Tehsil Information Centre, Ramnagar organized a debate contest on the topic “Television: a Friend or Foe” in the premises of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School Ramnagar here today.
Principal of the host School, Vishal Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
As many as 10 Students of the institution participated in the contest and expressed their views on the topic.
Anjali Thakur adjudged first position in the contest, while Shakshi Sharma and Simran Gupta bagged second and third positions respectively in the contest. Two consolation prizes were also given to Sonali Abrol and Miss Rupali. The participants were awarded prizes and certificates of merit.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest called for holding such more programmes in educational institutions so that maximum students could take part and express their views on diverse issues.
On the occasion a captivating cultural programme was also organized by the students of the host institution.
Bandana Sharma , Manu Sharma and Reetika Gupta acted as judges of the contest.
