JAMMU, Nov 21: Cluster University of Jammu announced that Aneesha Sharma, an exceptionally talented shooter, has been selected to represent the University at the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) in the 10m Air Rifle event, to be held in Jaipur from November 24 to 28.
A special felicitation ceremony was held, where Aneesha was congratulated by Prof. K. S. Chandrasekhar, Vice Chancellor, in the presence of Prof. D. S. Manhas, Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education and Sports, and her coach Aman Singh. The Vice Chancellor praised her consistent performances at national and international levels, calling her “a role model for students and a rising star of J&K.”
Aneesha has an impressive record, including multiple gold medals at the O11 India Open (Delhi), National School Games, India Team Selection Trials, and a bronze at the 15th Asian Shooting Championship, Changwon (South Korea). Currently holding All India Junior Rank 3, she has consistently brought laurels to the University and J&K.
