SRINAGAR, July 18: Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, visited the historic Eidgah in Srinagar today. During her visit, she met with youth delegations and representatives of local sports clubs to discuss the maintenance and development of the playing field.
Dr Andrabi also interacted with officials from the J&K Sports Council regarding the levelling and improvement of the ground for enhanced sports activities. She assured youth that their concerns would be addressed promptly. The representatives expressed gratitude for immediate attention to their demands.
Accompanied by the Waqf Board’s engineering team, Dr Andrabi also reviewed the current status of infrastructure and discussed future development plans for Eidgah. She emphasized the importance of public participation and local cooperation in executing developmental projects effectively.
Prominent locals and social activist Faheem Reshi also met with Dr Andrabi during her visit. The youth delegation included Baba Mudasir, Aijaz Shalla, Mohammad Ashraf and others.
“Our developmental plans always take concrete shape at ground zero. Public involvement and local cooperation help us complete projects in line with community needs,” Dr Andrabi stated during her interaction.
