Air Force Station Jammu organises swimming camp

JAMMU, July 11: Air Force Station Jammu organized Children’s Summer Swimming Coaching Camp 2014 at Swimming Pool in Air Force Station Jammu, here.
The camp was conducted from June 30 to July 10, 2014.
A total of 37 children participated in the camp.
The camp was aimed at giving exposure to the children on basic swimming and life saving skills.
The closing ceremony was conducted on July 10, 2014 wherein children demonstrated the acquired skills.
Air Cmde PE Patange, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jammu and Mamta Patange, president Air Force Wives Welfare Association were the chief guests on the occasion.
The ceremony culminated with distribution of gifts to the children by president AFWWA.
Air Officer Commanding while addressing the gathering emphasized on the importance of swimming as a life saving technique and encouraged children to participate in the similar camps to hone their acquired skills during the camp.
The closing ceremony was attended by the distinguished guests from Air Force Station Jammu and parents of the participating children. The enthusiasm exhibited by the children was highly encouraging.
