AIPA 9th National Pickle ball C’ship commences in Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 25: The 9th National Pickleball Championship, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Pickleball Association (JKAPA) under the aegis of the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), commenced today at Green Field Ground, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. While the formal inauguration took place today, the matches are scheduled to begin from September 26 to 28.
The championship is being hailed as the biggest pickleball event ever hosted in the region, with 426 players from 22 states participating. This marks a significant milestone in the growth of pickleball in India and highlights Jammu’s rising profile in the national sports arena.
Speaking on the occasion, a JKAPA spokesperson expressed pride in welcoming athletes from across the country, calling the event “a celebration of sportsmanship and unity.” Since 2013, AIPA has hosted national championships at various locations, steadily building a strong legacy for the sport.
Joint Director Tourism Jammu, Aijaz Qaiser, attended the event as chief guest, applauding the initiative. The championship not only boosts local sports infrastructure but also positions Jammu as a promising hub for emerging sports. JKAPA aims to inspire the next generation of athletes through this landmark event.
