Ace Cricket team wins KPPL Season 5 title

JAMMU, Jan 12: The much-awaited Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Season 5 concluded at M A Stadium, here today, with the Ace Cricket Team emerging victorious by 8 wickets over the Sai Cricket Club. With this impressive win, the Ace Cricket Team not only claimed the coveted KPPL Season 5 Trophy but also earned a cash prize of Rs 50,000. The Sai Cricket Club, who fought valiantly, was awarded Rs 25,000 as the runners-up.
A total of 15 teams from across the country participated in the tournament, displaying a blend of talent, determination, and passion for the game. The closing ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Deputy Inspector General of Police Shiv Kumar Sharma, Relief Commissioner Dr. Arvind Karwani, Managing Director of Medical Supplies Corporation Kapil Sharma, and Deputy Commissioner of Excise Sanjay Bhat, who honoured the winners.
During the closing ceremony, Deputy Inspector General of Police Shiv Kumar Sharma remarked, “This tournament is more than just cricket; it’s about community, camaraderie, and celebrating their roots. The spirit of the Kashmiri Pandit community shines through in events like these, and I am proud to witness it.”
Anil Bhat, Founder of Lalitaditya Sports Education and Health Organization, also expressed his views, saying, “The Kashmiri Pandit Premier League has become a platform for our community to come together, showcase their talents, and celebrate the rich cricketing heritage of Kashmir.”
