Aarush Tiwari, a Class IX-H student from DPS Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, clinched a bronze medal in the Basic Novice Boys category at the 6th Khelo India Winter Games 2026 in Figure and Speed Skating. Competing against participants from 19 states and Union Territories, Aarush’s achievement is particularly notable as this edition marked the debut of Figure Skating at Khelo India, with the minimum age set at 13 years.
The 2025–26 season has been remarkable for Aarush, who became the only Indian skater to medal in all national and international events he entered. His achievements include gold at the 20th Figure and Speed Skating National Championship in Dehradun, a bronze at the Asian Open Championship in Manila, and recognition at the Business World Gen Z & Gen Alpha Change Makers Awards in the sports category.
