JAMMU, Oct 8: Unbeaten 59 runs off 132 balls by talented and passionate Aarav Mahajan helped Jammu-A to finish the day with 89 runs lead over Jammu-B in the second test match of the Diwali Cup Under-12 2-Day Matches Cricket Tournament, organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC), Jammu at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here today.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Jammu-B made paltry 59 runs for all out in 24 overs. Arjun Parth made 15 runs in 32 balls, while Karmanya scored 15 runs in 17 balls and Ansh chipped in 11 runs off 13 balls.
From Jammu-A side, Parth proved his bowling mettle and scalped 3 wickets by conceding 9 runs in 4 overs, while Prabhjot took 2 wickets by giving 11 runs in 4 overs. Aarav Mahajan clinched one wicket by giving only 4 runs in 1 over and Vasu took one wicket by conceding one run in one over.
In the second inning, Jammu-A chased the target and raised the lead by 89 runs over Jammu-B for the loss of 6 wickets. Aarav Mahajan made unbeaten 59 runs off 132 balls, while Udhay scored 14 runs in 18 balls, Parth made 21 runs in 29 balls and Tejas was playing on at 8 runs in 45 balls, when the stumps were drawn on Day 1.
From Jammu-B side, Akshat Sharma took 2 wickets by conceding 11 runs in 8 overs, Ansh scalped 2 wickets by giving 8 runs in 5 overs, Neetyam Abrol took one wicket by giving 24 runs in 11 overs and Karmanya scalped one wicket by conceding 26 runs in 6 overs.
