DGP hands over prizes to winners of Police-Public Mela

DGP Ashok Prasad handing over the prize to a winner of Police-Public Mela at Police Headquarters, Jammu on Monday.

JAMMU, Apr 8: Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad today handed over 22 prizes among the raffle draw winners of Police-Public Mela, in a function held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here this evening.
The Bumper prize was handed over to winner Shakeel Ahmed of Sopore. Besides, 4 Santro cars, to the first prize winners Abdul Rashid of Pulwama, Fayaz Ahmed of Anantnag, Parvinder Singh of Batmaloo and Syed Inam-Ullah of Narbal, respectively.
Likewise, 4 Alto Cars to the second prize winners Mohd Yousuf of Devsar Kulgam, Shabir Ahmed Quershi of Beerwah, DK Muttoo of Janipur and Pawan Kumar of Dansal, Jammu, respectively.
Similarly, keys of 2 Nano Cars were handed over to the winners namely Sumit Sharma of Udhampur and Ashok Kumar of Kathua.
Three Motorcycles were handed over to the winners namely Yograj of Kathua, Fayaz Ahmed of Ganderbal and Harbans Lal of Vijaypur. Besides, two scooties were handed over to Lekhraj of Doda and Arun Kumar of Bhaderwah, and other many prizes to the concerned winners.
While speaking, DGP congratulated the prize winners and extended good wishes to them for their happy and prosperous life. He also gave them valuable suggestions to make best use of the prizes.
The prize winners expressed hope that they will participate in such melas in future also. They said that the Police Public Melas are gaining momentum every year and have become an attractive event for the people.
Among others present were ADGP, Headquarters, SP Vaid, DIG, Administration, PHQ, RP Reseutra, AIG, Welfare, PHQ, RS Samyal, AIG, Buildings, Shabir Ahmed, Director Prosecution, PHQ Mushtaq Ahmed and other senior police officers.
