DODA, July 13: Wadi-e-Kashmir scripted convincing win over Cue Cricket Club (CCC) Kishtwar by 76 runs in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Wadi-e-Kashmir set a target of 227 runs by losing 6 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Asrar was the highest scorer with 80 runs while Hashim contributed 43 runs for his team. For CCC Kishtwar, Rashid Lone and Dawood shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, CCC Kishtwar team managed to score only 150 runs in 18 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus lost the match by 76 runs. Parveez Butt was the top scorer with 45 runs while Nasir Sheikh and Rashid Lone contributed 43 runs each for their team. From Wadi-e-Kashmir, Tajamul grabbed 3 wickets while Hashim and Irfan-ul-Haq picked 1 wicket each.
Later on Asrar of Wadi-e-Kashmir team was declared as the man of the match for his superb batting performance who was given prize by Chairman Helping Hand Najeeb-ur-Rehman Fani and Journalist Syed Riaz Ahmed.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Yousuf Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik acted as the scorer.
