JKAACL announces results of Children Painting Competition

JAMMU, Dec 28: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages for the first time extending the area of activity at district level and remote areas of the Jammu region, organized the on the spot children painting competition at Udhampur, Reasi and Kathua Districts.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, in his address during the competition at Kathua informed that in Kathua 20 Schools participated in this competition in which more than 200 students took part, Similarly in the District Udhampur 44 Schools including more than 500 children were the participants and in Reasi 250 children from 25 schools participated.
About 1000 students participated and the results of the participating districts were announced today.
The First prize in Amateur Category from district Udhampur went to Himanshu Dogra, Govt. Model Higher Secondary School Udhampur, while the 2nd prize was bagged by Pryanka Jamwal, Govt. Model Hr. Sec. School Udhampur and the third prize was won by Mohinder, Govt. Model Hr. Secondary School Udhampur. Two prizes in the category of Senior groups in District Udhampur went to Sumit Kumar, Govt. Model Higher Secondary School Udhampur. The Judges were Rohit Verma, Vikas Khajuria, and Shashi Bala. The Incharge programme of this activity was Bishan Dass, Assistant Culture Officer.
Similarly in District Kathua the Prizes of Amateur Group went in favour of Navriti Jasotria, R.S Golden Hr. Secondary School Kathua, Abhinav of Kids Heaven Convent School Kathua and Vanshika Verma, M.H.S DAV Sec. Secondary School Kathua (Ist 2nd and third respectively).
