J&K’s Karan drubs Roshan of Delhi to enter semis

JAMMU, Dec 21: Defeating Roshan of Delhi in the quarterfinals of Under-19 56 kg category, J&K’s Karan sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing 63rd National School Games in the discipline of Wushu Under-17 and Under-19 boys Championship, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Indoor Complex MA Stadium, here.
In 40 kg category, Sahil of UP defeated Jayraj Singh of Maharashtra, Anoj of Bihar beat Dipanshu CBSE, Sunil Singh of Manipur beat Nasib Singh of Punjab and Uttam of Assam got the better of Ayushraj of Jharkhand, while in 45 kg category, Uma Kant of Manipur beat Rathwa of Gugrat, Manish of Jharkhand drubbed Ranjeet of Delhi and Anmol of Punjab prevailed over Ram Kumar of Goa.
In 48 kg category, Rashid of Punjab trounced Rohit of Jharkhand, Samson of Manipur drubbed Abhijeet of Assam and Balaji of Maharashtra got the better of Abhishek of MP, while in 52 kg, Sumit of Delhi defeated Kavad of Gujarat, Vishal of Assam Manjay of J&K, H. Romesh of Manipur beat Ashutosh of MP, Suraj of CBSE defeated Sheikh of Maharashtra.
In 56 kg, Anand of Jharkhand beat Sidharth of CBSE, Pandaya of Gujarat trounced Gopi of Bihar, Misdul of Assam outplayed P. Premananda of Manipur, while in 6o kg, Junaid of J&K defeated Ravi of Jharkhand, Ranjan of Bihar thrashed Reval of Assam,
Gurdeep of Punjab beat Hafezullah of Telangana and Menergy of Manipur beat Md. Afreen of Goa.
In 65 kg, Musvi of Assam defeated Karan of Bihar, Suresh of CBSE got the better of Mohi of Punjab, M Malingnagba of Manipur prevailed over Toshihid of Goa, Brijesh of Delhi defeated S. Vijaya of Talengana, while in 70 kg, Rinku of Vidhabharti defeated Basu of Jharkhand, Gamrchad of Manipur beat Birkang of Assam, Ashtosh of Delhi defeated Jayant of Maharashtra and Hardeep of CBSE trounced Ravinder of Punjab.
In 75 kg, Ajay of Maharashtra outplayed Umad of Goa, Shubham of MP beat Monti of UP, Rohit of CBSE defeated Chouhan Dipul of Gujarat and Harmeet of Punjab beat Tushar of Delhi.
In 80 kg, Pretik of Gujarat beat Danesh of CBSE, Parnav of Jharkhand defeated Salman of MP, Palav of Assam got the better of Rajesh of Delhi, Gurvinder of Punjab beat Sidhant of Maharashtra, while in 85 kg, Abhishek of UP beat Ajay of Delhi, Kushwinder of Punjab defeated Manish of Goa, Vaibhav of MP trounced Gourav of Vidhyabharti and Fidan of J&K thrashed Thumair of Gujarat.
