Punjab scores 453/3 on Day-1

JAMMU, Dec 1: Riding on magnificent double century (237) by Aditya Pratap Singh and a brilliant innings of unbeaten 143 runs by Ridham Satyawan, formidable Punjab scored a mammoth total of 453/3 on day-1 of the Vijay Merchant Under-16 Cricket Tournament at Gandhi ground, Amritsar today.
Aditya hit 40 fours and 5 sixes in his knock, while Ridham struck 17 boundaries and 2 sixes in his innings. From Jammu and Kashmir, Manan Mehmood, Praful Dhar and Ashim Nanda took 1 wicket each.
Earlier, Harnoor Singh Pannu and Jaskaranvir Singh Paul were trapped by Manan Mehmood and Ashim Nanda at their individual scores of 23 and 27 runs respectively, while Aditya Pratap Singh was caught by Dhruv V Gupta on the bowling of Praful Dhar.
