State Cricket Academy Championship gets underway

JAMMU, Sept 9: Khalsa Cricket Club and Vishal Club registered emphatic wins in the inaugural day of the State Cricket Academy  T20 Championship which got underway at MA Stadium here today.
In the inauguration function Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari was the chief guest while Sandeep Choudhary SP South was the guest of honour.
Earlier, in the first match  Khalsa Club  defeated  ICC  by   2 wickets .
Batting first, ICC  scored 140 runs for the loss of 8 wickets  in 20 overs, with Subrat Sharma (32), Aryan Dogra (26) and  Asif (15) being the main scorers.
From ICC Harpreet Singh and Naresh took 2 wickets each, while Ranjeet Singh and Manpreet shared 1 wicket each.
Khalsa Club, in reply achieved the target in 19.2 overs. Harpreet Singh 35, Abhishek Jamwal 30 and Manpret Singh 28 were the main scorers.
Sourav took 3 wickets, Ajay Singh took 2 wickets, Asif, Marutwan and Sachin took 1 wicket each.
In second match, Vishal Cricket Club defeated  Gurah Slathia in super over.
Both the sides made 133 runs in the stipulated overs, while in the super over Vishal emerged winner.
