KISHTWAR, Sept 7: District Level Police Sports Festival was declared open by the chief guest, Kishori Lal Sharma, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar.
The Sports Festival is organised by District Police Kishtwar under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2017-18 at Chowgan Ground Kishtwar.
The opening ceremony was attended by GM NHPC, CO CRPF 52 Bn, CO 17 RR army, Co 11 RR army, CO CISF, District Sports Officer, other District Officers, various Media personnel & various prominent citizens of District Kishtwar. Besides, large number of people thronged the occasion to witness the matches.
In the Sports festival various games namely Kho-Kho, Football, Kabaddi, Cricket, Tug of War, Shot Put etc are to be played between players from various Schools/corners of the District.
The motive behind organising the Sports Festival is to maintain/strengthen friendly relation between Police & Public and also to provide a platform/opportunity to the various sports loving children to excel in the field of sports.
