J&K women team enters next round in Badminton

JAMMU, Oct 31: J&K thrashed its respective opponents in the singles and doubles categories of Badminton (Women) event organised during the ongoing 10th Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) North Zone Sports Meet at MA stadium, here today.
In badminton (Singles), Regional Office (RO) J&K thrashed RO, Himachal Pradesh, whereas, in the Doubles event, Regional Office (RO) J&K thrashed Regional Office (RO) Himachal Pradesh.
In Volleyball event, RO Punjab thrashed RO Faridabad, SRO Jalandhar trounced RO J&K, Headquarters Office routed RO Delhi and RO Chandigarh outplayed RO HP.
In Cricket, Headquarters Office stunned RO Uttrakhand, RO Punjab thrashed RO HP, SRO Ludhiana drubbed RO J&K and RO Uttrakhand routed D(M)D.
In Football, Headquarter Office drubbed RO HP, RO Delhi outplayed RO Faridabad and RO J&K thrashed RO, Chandigarh.
In Chess women (Round 6), Headquarters Office thrashed Bye, RO HP drubbed RO, J&K, D(M)D thrashed SRO, Ludhiana and RO Chandigarh trounced RO Faridabad. Earlier, in round 5, RO Chandigarh thrashed Bye, RO Haryana thrashed SRO Ludhiana, D(M)D thrashed RO, J&K and Headquarters Office trounced RO, HP.
In Chess (Men), Headquarters Office, RO Punjab, D(M)D and RO Delhi sailed into next round.
In Carom (men), RO Delhi will take on D(M)D in the finals. Earlier, in the semis, RO Delhi drubbed RO Chandigharh and D(M)D thrashed Headquarters Office.
In Carom (Women), D(M)D trounced RO Delhi in the finals and lifted the title trophy. Earlier, in the first semifinals, RO Delhi thrashed RO, HP, while, in the second semis, D(M)D thrashed Headquarters Office.
