SRINAGAR, July 5: Team Swish won the boys title, while team El Calor lifted the girls event of the Summer Basketball League which concluded here today.
In the boys section, Team Swish defeated NIT Srinagar by 6 points (36-30), with Zeeshan Rasool emerging top performer scoring maximum 20 points.
In the girls category, El Calor thrashed Alley Oops by 20 points (26-06). The highest scorer was Useeba Bashir scoring 16 points for the team.
Zeeshan and Useeba were adjudged as the best players of the league in their respective sections.
The wining teams in each section were awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10,000, while the runners-up teams in each section were awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 5000.
J&K Bank, Adeeb International and K Café were the sponsors of the event, while Secretary J&K State Sports Council Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra was the chief guest on the valedictory function.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Joint Secretary, Nazir Ahmed, Manager Indoor Stadium, Sheikh Tulal and Manager Gindun playground, Mushtaq Zargar.
