* Sikkim to take on Assam in boys final tomorrow

JAMMU, June 16: Telangana registered win over HP and will clash with Assam in girls section final tomorrow, while Sikkim beat J&K and will lock horns with Assam in the boys section final on June 18 in the ongoing ‘Oorja’ Football Talent Hunt Tournament, being organized by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in collaboration with University of Jammu at varsity grounds, here.
In the first semifinal, Sikkim thrashed J&K in boys section by a solitary goal and registered berth in the final. The goal was netted by Sanjay Rai.
Meanwhile, Telangana team defeated HP by 4-1 in the first semis in the girls section and entered into the final.
Two goals were scored by Samarana Ravela, one goal by R Ravali and one goal by G Somya from Talangana team
On the occasion, VK Behnal, General Manager, Industries Centre District Jammu was the chief guest, while Manvendra, DIF SHQ Jammu, Ajay Kumar, Commandant, 66th Battalion SSB Jammu, VS Jamwal, Second-in-Command, Barjeet Singh, Deputy Commandant, Jeet Lal, Deputy Commandant, Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Commandant, Dr Rajay Sehgal, AC (MO) and Dr Mrinalini Singh, AC (MO), Central Referee Rakesh Kumar, Dheeraj Mini, Vijay Kumar and Match Commissioner Moon Stephen were also present.
Telangana will take on Assam in the girls final tomorrow, while Assam will lock horns with Sikkim in the boys’ final on June 18, followed by closing ceremony.
