Mussa Club, Churchill Brothers register wins

JAMMU, Oct 20: Mussa Club and Churchill Brothers scripted resounding victories over their rivals in the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament, being organized by the Jammu wing of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
In the first match of the day, Mussa Club got better of Param Football Club by a solitary goal in an exciting contest. Kamaljeet Singh was the goal scorer for Mussa Club, who netted it through penalty kick. Though, both the teams made some good moves in both the halves, yet none of them succeeded in scoring any field goal and finally Kamaljeet did the trick in 50th minute to help his team win by a solitary goal.
In another match of the day, Churchill Brothers drubbed Young Heroes by two goals to one (2-1) in a well contested match. Churchill Brothers managed to get an early lead through a superb goal pelted by Binny in 25th minute of the game, while Parveen from Young Heroes netted an equalizer in the 50th minute. Rahul increased the lead for Churchill Brothers by scoring a splendid goal in 68th minute. Finally, Churchill Brothers won the match by (2-1).
The match was officiated by Kamal Kumar, Harmanjeet Singh, Sanjay and Saudhagar Mattoo, while the tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Surinder Singh Bunty, Resident Secretary JKFA Jammu wing and organizing secretary of the tournament.
