SMVDU organizes Inter Hostel Volleyball Tournament

KATRA, Apr 27: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) successfully organized Inter- Hostel Volleyball Tournament, which concluded, here today.
On the final day of the tournament today, Trikuta and Vindhyachal Hostel boys locked horns against each other in the summit clash. Trikuta Hostel team was led by Jayant Kumar and Vindhyachal Hostel team was skippered by Swapnil Kumar.
It was a thriller as Vindhyachal Hostel team was leading the game with 2-0 set difference, but Trikuta Hostel snatched the match by continuously winning the last 3 sets and making it 3-2 in their favour. Finally, Trikuta hostel won the match by 16-25, 14-25, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-20.
The tournament was organized by Board of Sports Activities under Presidentship of Rajiv Kumar, and under the guidance of Ashok Sharma, Director Sports, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Capt. Sucha Singh , Sports Coach of the University was the match referee.
Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof Sanjeev Jain lauded the efforts of the winners and runners-up teams for brilliant display of their skill and talent.
