JAMMU, Nov 24: The Primary Wing of Model Academy School celebrated its Annual Sports Day at its BC Road Campus, here today.
Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER was the chief guest on the occasion, whereas Rupa Gupta, Management Representative was the guest of honour.
The programmme commenced with the lighting of the torch by Dr. Adit Gupta.
The Meet was declared open by the chief guest.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Pramod Srivastava, Principal Model Academy, Usha Gadoo, Vice Principal, Ruchika Gupta, Project Director, Humming Buds, Manjari Sehgal and Jasleen Mohial, Academic Managers, Harika Singh, Incharge Inclusive School, Manju Vali, Convener Co-Curricular Committee and JK Dhiman, Administrative Officer.
Different races like balancing the ball, sack race, wear the cap race, hurdle race, etc. were conducted. There were performances by the students which included pom-pom dance and drill exercises. The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Adit Gupta appreciated the students for taking part in various activities and contended that such events are always momentous for children.
The winners of various events were honoured with gold, silver and bronze medals.
Radhika Vohra, Sports Captain extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries.
The whole programme was coordinated by Usha Chunni, Sports Officer of the school wing and Priya Devi, Pallavi, Suresh, Mr Deepak and Mr Karan, PTIs.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Shivam Sharma, Vice President Activity Club.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Amarjot Kaur, Cultural Coordinator.
