JAMMU, Nov 20: Jammu Vishal Stars got better of Jammu Rising Stars in an exciting friendly match, organized by All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) to provide opportunity to the budding cricketers of Jammu to polish their cricketing skill and get ready for the big events, at Parade ground, here today.
Batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored a modest total of 82 runs in the stipulated 18 overs. Praful Dhar was the top scorer with 24 runs, while Abhay Tandon contributed 20 runs to the total. For Vishal Stars, Ashim Nanda, Jugjap Singh and Aditya Pal Singh took 2,1 and 1 wicket respectively.
In reply, Jammu Vishal Stars chased the total in an exciting finish in the last over. Arya Sachivansh Thakur was the top scorer with 20 runs, while Surya contributed 16 runs to the total. For Jammu Rising Stars, Praful Dhar and Abhay Tandon took 2 wickets each.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Sanjay Raina as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda was the scorer.
