Shahnshah CC, Singh Akhnoor Club script convincing victories

JAMMU, Nov 4: Shanshah Cricket  Club and Singh Akhnoor Club registered  wins against their rivals  in the  5th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup, being played at Parade Ground, here today.
The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by  Simula Sports and Vishal Club in collaboration with Jammu Police and Jammu Sports Council .The organizing committee includes Hilal Rather, Ranjeet Kalra, Rajesh Dhar, RP Singh, Anand Tripathi, Vivek Sharma, Saleem Ur Rehman,Vijay Saberwal, Vivek Shekher, Madan Mohan, Sadiq Hussain and Sandeep Manchanda, whereas Rajesh  Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer and former Ranji Player is the Oraganizing Secretary of the event.
In today’s match Shanshah Club defeated ICC XI  by 65 runs.
Batting first, Shanshah Club scored 118  runs in 16 overs for the loss of all wickets, with Anuj (34), Shabeer (12) and Shafiq (11) being the main scorers. For  ICC club Rishav and Akshay took 4 wickets each ,while Manhas took 1 wicket.
ICC  XI, in reply could not  chase the target and made only 58 runs for all wickets in 17.3 overs   thus lost the match by 62 runs. Manhas(14)  and Sourav (10) were the main scorers. Shabeer  took 4 wickets, while Amir,Akhit and Shafiq took 1 wicket each.Shabeer was declared as man of the match.
In another match Singh Akhnoor Club defeated Rajouri Stadium Club by 51 runs.
Batting first Singh Akhnoor Cricket Club scored 109 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Sunny 43,Rahul 15 and Rakesh 15 were the main scorers. Imran and Yasir took 2 wickets each, Tahir and Asif took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Rajouri Stadium XI could not  chase the target and made only 58 runs  in 9.5 overs for the loss of all wickets with Tahir (19), Pankaj (15) and Vinay (10) were the main scorers.
Bodhraj  took 4 wickets, Binny and Rizwan took 3 wickets. Bodhraj was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sanjay, Sandeep Manchanda and Vinod.
In tomorrow’s fixture,  Shastri Cricket Club will take on Bathindi Club at 10 am
