Would love to host Indian Cricket Blind Team: J&K Sports Council

Terming it as an honour, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council today said the body would love to host the Indian Cricket Blind team, who desired to play in the State.
”We have received a request from Mahantesh G K, the President of Cricket Association of Blind in India, desiring that the team wanted to play in Jammu and Kashmir,” Secretary, J&K State Sports Council Waheed Ur Rehman Parra said, here.

”I have come to know that Indian  Cricket Blind  Team at a function in New Delhi desired to play a friendly match in J&K, in order to boost the morale of youth and express solidarity with people, so it will be an honour for the state,” said Mr Parra.
The Secretary said the matter has been discussed with Sports Minister Imran Raza Ansari and he too expressed keen interest in hosting the special champs.
”It will be a proud moment for the state to host the champions and we are glad that they wished to play in Jammu and Kashmir,” he asserted.
He further said that once it will be clear to host the match, venue will also be finalised accordingly.          The Indian Cricket Blind Team, which won the Asian T 20 Championship, was recently felicitated by the Union Ministry of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, at New Delhi. (UNI)
