Wrestlers Kaka, Minda share Patiri-Bishnah Dangal Title

KATRA, Nov 2:10th Annual Patiri-Bishnah Dangal 2016 was organized by Patiri Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Shiv Kumar Sharma and Retd. JE Surinder Sharma at village Patiri in Bishnah, Jammu.
Ist malli bout was played between wrestler Kaka of R.S Pura, Minda of Pathankot in Punjab. This bout ended in a draw that last for 27 minutes and both the wrestlers shared the dangal title Rs 15,000 were jointly awarded to the both the wrestlers.
Forty four bouts were played and around 88 wrestlers from within and outside the State participated.
Meanwhile, Kathua District Indian Style Wrestling Championship will be organized on November 5, 2016 (Saturday) at Bowelian behind Ram Leela Ground Kathua.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also Treasurer of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India.
General Secretary of the Association Bansi Lal Tidyal said that the weigh-in of wrestlers will start at 10.00 AM sharp and bouts will start at 11.00AM.
Chairman Technical Committee Mulk Raj Sharma, NIS wrestling coach disclosed that championship will be held in the seven weight categories i.e. up to  55Kg, 61Kg, 75Kg, 85Kg, 97Kg and above up to 120Kg as per the latest norms of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India.
