POONCH, Oct 31: Pratham crushed Zafer by 2-1 (11-9, 9-11 and 11-8) and lifted the cadet boys title on the second day of ongoing 26th District Table Tennis Championship, here.
In Sub-Junior category, Anuj will take on Safwan in the summit clash. Earlier in the first semis, Anuj beat Zaffer by 2-0 (11-7 and 11-7) and in the second semifinal, Safwan registered win over Krishna by 2-0 (11-4 and 11-8). In quarterfinals, Anuj defeated Ridhik by 2-0 (11-3 and 11-4), Zafar smashed Pratham by 2-1 (6-11, 13-11 and 11-9), Krishna thrashed Nipun by 2-0 (11-8 and 11-5) and Safwan defeated Akarshit by 2-0 (11-3 and 11-8).
In Juniors category, Faisal will face Anuj in the title clash.
Er Saleem Bandey, General Secretary Table Tennis Association Poonch said that matches in the categories of men singles and doubles and veterans will start from tomorrow.
