JAMMU, Oct 2: Jammu-A registered win over Jammu B and won the first match of the Diwali Cup Under-12 2-Day Matches Cricket Tournament, organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC), Jammu at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here today.
On the second day of the match today, Jammu-A declared the second inning at 107 by losing 7 wickets and raised the lead over Jammu-A to 158 runs.
From Jammu-A side, Parth played a splendid inning of 55 runs off 67 balls, while Aarav Mahajan chipped in 9 runs in 75 balls.
Aditya Koul and Arin from Jammu-B side scalped one wicket each.
In reply Jammu-A made 63 runs for the loss of only one wicket and the match ended in draw. Uday was the top scorer with 38 runs. Jammu-A was declared winner by first inning lead.
Meanwhile, on the first day of the match yesterday, winning the toss and batting first, Jammu-A scored 113 runs in 54 overs in their first innings. Arin Sharma scored 34 off 66 balls, while Ansh contributed 33 off 44 balls. Chintwan scored 24 off 36 balls, while Aarav Mahajan scored 7 runs off 88 balls.
For Jammu-B, Laith and Akshit Sharma took 2 wickets each, while Nityam claimed one wicket.
In reply, Jammu-B were bundled out at 61 runs by losing all wickets. Akshat made 21 runs, while Kanav scored 19 runs on day one of this 2-Day match.
For Jammu-A side, Arin Sharma and Aditya Koul took 2 wickets each, while Vasu and Parth claimed one wicket apiece.
Akshat Sharma was adjudged as man of the Match for scoring 26 runs and taking 5 wickets.
Earlier, Former Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Romesh Mahajan inaugurated the Tournament in presence of Member BCCI and Working Committee Member JKCA, Ankush Abrol. Sunil Kumar, Coach, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy was also present on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Ashok Kumar as umpires, while Neeraj acted as scorer.
