1st Summer T-20 Cricket Tourney Deepak helps SCC to outplay NMCC, register berth in semis

JAMMU, June 24: Five wickets haul by Deepak Dogra (Baba) helped Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) to outplay NMCC and to register berth in the semis of the ongoing 1st Summer T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Lieutenant Thakur Dass Cricket Club Akhnoor, at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, NMCC made 114 runs for all out in 17.3 overs. Nitin was the top scorer with 43 runs, while Yogesh Sikka and Abdul Samad made 16 and 15 runs respectively.
From SCC side, Deepak Dogra (Baba) was pick of the bowler with 5 wickets, while Arvind and Vishal scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, SCC chased the target in 14.3 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Avnesh chipped in 26 runs, while Vikas and Deepak Dogra made 21 and 19 runs respectively.
From NMCC side, Mannu scalped 2 wickets, while Abhishesk, Yogesh and Rahul took one wicket each.
Deepak Dogra of SCC was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Madan Lal and Sanju as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda maintained the scorecard.
