Jammu Juniors XI clinches series by 2-1

JAMMU, June 14: Scripting a thrilling win over Punjab Junior Cricket XI, Jammu Junior Cricket team registered second win in the exposure tour for Jammu Junior Cricket Team and clinched the series by 2-1 at Amandeep Cricket Academy Amritsar, which was organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu.
Batting first, Jammu Junior Cricket team scored 164 runs for all wickets in 28.2 overs. Main scorers were Rydham with 46 runs, Ritwic Sharma with 36 runs, Kanav with 21 runs and Ashim with 11 runs.
Ramesh and Pawan took 3 wickets each, while Abhay, Pandoori and Vasu shared 1 wicket for Punjab team.
In reply, Punjab Junior Cricket teams tried best but they fell short of 22 runs and thus lost the match. Vasu was top scorer with 32 runs, while Jaideep made 20 runs and Pawan scored 18 runs.
Rydham took 2 wickets while Ashim, Sidhant, Kanav and Agastya shared one wicket each for Jammu team.
Rydham was declared as man of the match and also man of the series.
On the valedictory function, TP Singh, India-A player and Senior Batting Coach of the Amandeep Cricket Academy was the chief guest, while Dr Shahbaz Singh, MD Amandeep Cricket Academy was the guest of honour and Lovely Arora and Manish Sharma were the special guests.
The Jammu team was accompanied by Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Player as Incharge and was assisted by Dilbag Singh, former National Player as Coach and Vishal Singh, former National Player as Assistant Coach.
The matches were held under the overall supervision of International Player Harvinder Singh.
