Danish guides Delhi XI to register win over HCC

DODA, May 25: Magni-ficent all-round performance by Danish helped Delhi XI to registered win over Haryana Cricket Club (HCC) by 25 runs in the ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda in collaboration with Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda at Sports Stadium here.
Batting first after winning the toss, Delhi XI set a target of 106 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 15 overs. Anurag was the highest scorer with 26 runs while Danish contributed with 22 runs.
For HCC side, Sanjay scalped 3 wickets, while Ravinder took 2 wickets.
In the second inning, HCC team failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 81 runs for all out in 14.2 overs. Jagandeep made 26 runs while Happy Sharma scored 18 runs.
From Delhi XI side, Anand and Zahid Rasool with their brilliant bowling performance scalped 3 wickets each, whereas Danish took 2 wickets.
Danish of Delhi XI team was declared as Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi and Noushair Butt as umpires, while Rinku Bhaduria acted as scorer. Ashok Sharma (Video Analyst) was the third umpire.
