JAMMU, Apr 17: Splendid all-round show by Pranav Gupta helped National Cricket Club (NCC) to thrash Media Blasters by a big margin of 114 run in the ongoing 2nd Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Sachin Singh, Mukesh Sharma and Sunil Kumar at Mandal Cricket ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, NCC scored a big total of 195 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Pranav Gupta scored magnificent 50 runs, while Vijay Dogra and Govind Sadotra contributed 48 and 28 runs respectively. Rahul Saini bagged 3 wickets for Media Blasters, while Kuldeep Sharma and Honey Singh claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Media Blasters bundled out for paltry total of 81 runs, thus lost the match by 114 runs. Rahul Saini, Jagdeep and Naresh contributed 18, 15 and 9 runs to the total respectively. For NCC, Pranav Gupta took 4 wckets, while Mayank Gautam and Vijay Dogra claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Pranav Gupta was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant all-round display.
The match was officiated by Virender Singh and Bablu as umpires, while Raj Kumar and Sohan Bharti were the scorer and commentator respectively.
