JAMMU, Mar 10: Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) thrashed New Challengers Cricket Club by 5 wickets and sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing Salute & Tribute to Siachen Martyrs T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Parade Cricket Association at Parade ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, New Challengers Club bundled out for a paltry total of 75 runs in 18.4 overs. Sahil Bhalwal (15) and Sumit (13) were the main scorers. For JCC, Vishwajeet Singh, Rohit Sharma and Shubham Singh Pundir took 3 wickets each.
In reply, Jammu Cricket Club scored 79 runs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Vivek Singh was the top scorer with 34 runs, while Vishwajeet Singh and Paras Sharma contributed unbeaten 14 and 13 not out respectively. Vishwajeet Singh was declared as man of the amtch for his brilliant all-round display.
The match was officiated by Madan Verma and Sadiq Hussain Malik as umpires, while Amarjeet Singh was the scorer.
