Gourav Sharma brings laurels to State

KATRA, Jan 11: Master Gourav Sharma, a student of 11th class of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul, Charan Paduka, Katra, has brought laurels to the Gurukul, Shrine Board and the State of Jammu and Kashmir as well by winning a gold medal at the National Level Jyotish Shilakha Pariksha at 54th All India Sanskrit Shastric Contest recently organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi at Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.
Master Gourav Sharma was presented with a gold medal, gold shilakha, certificate and Rs10,000 in cash for winning the first prize in this contest.
“Governor N N Vohra, who is Chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, has congratulated Master Gourav Sharma on his outstanding performance at the All India Sanskrit declamation contest and asked me to arrange a befitting function at the Raj Bhavan for honouring this brilliant student of the Shrine Board’s Gurukul. The Governor has also lauded the Principal and his team of Acharyas and Teachers on the outstanding performance of the students of the Gurukul in academics and extra-curricular activities,” informed Ajeet Kumar Sahu, CEO, SMVD Shrine Board.
