JAMMU, Dec 4: Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association shall hold referees’ clinic on December 5 and December 6, 2015 to induct new referees.
The clinic shall be conducted in three sessions, with first two sessions based on theoretical interactions while the other two sessions shall be based on practical training. The candidates shall have to pass level-1 exam, following which they shall be issued license as state level referee.
“Twelve candidates have confirmed their willingness to attend the clinic so far and we expect few more” said Dr. Vikram Handa, general secretary J&K Basketball Association.
“In order to conduct more and more and more tournaments across the State as we have planned to do, we need more qualified referees as well and this is our first initiative in this direction. We also propose to recommend some referees to appear in the exam of Basketball Federation of India in near future” he added.
