Army organizes Pir Panjal Trekking Expedition

RAJOURI, Oct 28: Under the aegis of Rajouri based Ace of Spades Division, 5/4 Gorkha Rifles undertook a Trans Pir Panjal Trekking Expedition, which covered a distance of approximately 165 kilometers over a period of 12 days from October 17 to October 28, 2015.
The aim of the Expedition was to develop spirit of leadership among the participants, besides facilitating them to understand the varied terrain of J&K.
The participants experienced a picturesque terrain of J&K and exploited this opportunity to interact with locals, develop a bond of friendship and learn rich culture and traditions of this beautiful State.
One of the objectives of the Expedition was to spread the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan amongst the locals en-route.
The Expedition culminated at Kalal today.
