JAMMU, Sept 25: The 1st Open Bench Press Championship will be held under the banner of All J&K State Powerlifting Forum on September 27, 2015 at Bhagwati Resorts Bhagwati Nagar, here.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of former players and the members of prominent gyms held today.
According to a handout issued here, the Championship will begin at 10 am on September 27, while the body weights will be held tomorrow at 5 pm.
The meeting among others was attended by Ajay Sharma, Amit Magotra, Prem Choudhary, Siddhath Manhas, Adil Ashraf Khan, Sam, Sanjeev Singh, Sajjad, Amit, Suresh, Ankush, Sunil Choudhary and Rahul Sawhney.
The Championship will be held with an objective to make new generation aware of the drug abuse, besides promotion of sports in the State.
