JKP team wins twin Hockey tourneys

SRINAGAR, Aug 27: The Hockey team of Jammu and Kashmir Police clinched 1st Shaheed Maan Singh Hockey Tournament and maiden Shaheed Jasjeet Singh Hockey Memorial Tournament organized by Baramulla  Hockey Association under the aegis of Hockey J&K.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) IR Kashmir, Sunil Kumar today felicitated the winning team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and its coach Mohammad Amin here at Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ) for their outstanding performances during the tournaments that witnessed participation of 6 teams from Kashmir Division.
While felicitating 18-member-squad of J&K Police Hockey Team, the IGP emphasized upon the players to work hard to prove their mettle not only at State level competitions but also at National and International arenas as well.
“Regular practice and hard work added with professional training is the key to success”, the IGP added.
Among others the felicitation ceremony was attended by SO to ADGP Armed J&K Javed Iqbal Mattoo, SSP and Kuldeep Handoo, Sports Officer, APHQ J&K.
