HIRANAGAR, Mar 30: Amar Jyoti National School, Gujjar Chak, Hiranagar celebrate its annual day with pomp and show in a colorful function, here today.
The students presented different items covering various cultural and social aspects.
A huge gathering of the locals/parents and prominent citizens of the area watched the programme.
Subash Chander Gupta, Ex-Member Legislative Council was the chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing the students/gathering, Mr Gupta stressed for the proliferation of education and taking it the doorsteps of such an inaccessible border area.
He lauded the efforts of the School trustee and staff especially, Bal Krishan, Principal of the School for putting in such concerted efforts in exploring the talent of the children.
Principal of the School also presented the annual report of the School on the occasion.
Prizes were distributed by the chief guest among the participants and those who fared well in the recently concluded examinations.
Prominent among those who present on the occasion included R K Jha, Deputy Commandant 97 Bn BSF, Bishan Dass Sangra; Sarpanch, Nathu Ram, Ex Sarpanch, Nanak Singh Salaria, Lajju Ram, Balwan Singh, Brij Lal and Master Banarsi Dass.
