Seminar held at GDC Hiranagar

HIRANAGAR, Feb 13: Under the Legal Awareness Programme, a seminar was organized by the Tehsil Legal Services Committee Hiranagar on the topics, “Right to Information/ Environmental laws/ Essential Services Guarantee Act” at Govt Girdari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College, Hiranagar, today.
The function was presided over by Preet Simran Kour, chairperson, Tehsil Legal Services Authorities Hiranagar.
Principal of the College, Prof Sohan Lal Bhagat was the chief guest and Yash Paul Sharma, president Bar Association Hiranagar was the guest of honour on this occasion.
The progamme started with the lighting of tradition lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries present on this occasion.
The main purpose of organizing such a programme was to make the students aware about the various laws and duties of the Govt for the solution of the problems faced by the common man in the society.
Five students spoke on the different topics on this occasion
Diksha Kumari of B.Sc. Sem-II got the first prize, Poonam Choudhary of B.Sc. Part-II achieved 2nd prize and the 3rd prize was shared by Neha Sharma and Jyoti Sharma. Ajay Sharma of B.Sc. Part-II got consolation prize.
The proceedings of programme were conducted by Ajay Sharma, while Prof Daya Vilas presented the vote of thanks.
