JAMMU, Jan 4: Sidhanth Cricket Academy (SCA) will lock horns with Axil Club in the title clash of the 2nd Col RN Chopra Challenge Cup at Col RN Chopra Cricket Academy ground on January 7.
Earlier, in the first semis, SCA registered win over DPS by 29 runs and registered berth in final of the tourney.
Electing to bat first, after winning the toss, SCA scored 152 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Pavit Singh was the top scorer with 60 runs and Dipesh also made 31 runs.
For DPS side, Satyabrat, Aryan, Anmol and Santanu shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, DPS failed to chase the target and bundled out at 123 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Aryan Gandral scored 36 runs, while as Satyabrat contributed 24 runs.
For SCA side, Pavit and Munish took 2 wickets each.
The man of the match award was presented to Pavit of Sidhanth Cricket Club (SCC).
In the second semifinal match, Chopra Cricket Academy won the toss, elected to bat first and scored 105 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Arya Sachivansh Thakur scored 27 runs and Ayush Slathia made 16 runs.
For Axil Club side, Anubhav and Sahil Lotra were the pick of bowlers with 3 wickets each.
In reply, Axil Club chased the target by losing just 2 wickets in 14.3 overs. Sahil Lotra smashed some crispy shots and scored 64 runs, while as Kanhiya contributed 37 runs.
For Chopra Cricket Academy side, Abhishek and Marutwan took 1 wicket each.
Axil Club won the match by 8 wickets and Sahil Lotra of Axil Club was awarded man of the match award.
Axil Club will now clash with SCC in the final match to be played on January 7 (Wednesday).
The semifinal matches were officiated by Chief Coach of Col RN Chopra Cricket Academy Sukomal Ganguly and assisted by Akash Manhas.
