JAMMU, Dec 12: 7th State Speedball championship 2014-15, being organized by J&K Sports Speedball Association was declared open by Navin Agarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports in an impressive function at MA Stadium, here today.
Around 1000 students drawn from 45 different School of Jammu and 6 other districts are participating in the championship.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu, Vijay Gupta and Pooja Malhotra were present on the occasion.
The gold medal winners in Under-10 boys singles included, Priyanshu Dhar, Devraj Singh, Umesh Gupta, Rajveer Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Jatinder Singh and Ankit Dogra, while the gold medal winners in Under-10 girls singles included Kehkash Sharma, Heeya Rajput and Jasmine Kour.
In Under-8 girls singles, Kushi Vashist won gold, while in Under-8 boys singles, Irfan bagged the gold.
The events were also held in Under-12, 14, 16, 18 and solo boys and girls.
