JAMMU, May 8: The Jammu & Kashmir Swimming Association has announced selection trials for the 79th Senior National Aquatic (Men & Women) Championships 2026, which will be held on May 16, 2026 at Jodhamal Public School Jammu swimming pool.
The national championship is scheduled to be conducted from June 16 to 21, 2026 at Aquatic Complex, Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, under the aegis of the Swimming Federation of India and organised by the Gujarat State Aquatic Association.
The J&K (UT) team will be selected as per the guidelines of the Swimming Federation of India and J&K Sports Council in the presence of President Ramandeep Singh Soodan and General Secretary Bharat Kumar Sharma, along with office bearers of the association, affiliated swimming clubs and coaches from Jammu and Srinagar.
As per handout issued, the swimmers from across J&K (UT) have been asked to report at the venue before 10 am for registration and participation. The age eligibility criterion is 14 years and above. The association has appealed to all eligible swimmers to actively participate in the trials to represent the Union Territory at the national level.
