Anantnag, Ramban to host Taekwondo Championships from Mar 27

ANANTNAG/RAMBAN, Mar 26: The Taekwondo Associations of District Anantnag and District Ramban are all set to organize their respective District Taekwondo Championships 2025-26 under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and the J&K Sports Council. Both events, scheduled from March 27 to 28, aim to provide a dynamic platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The Anantnag Championship will be held at the Indoor Stadium, Bijbehara, while the Ramban Championship will take place at Govt Model Hr Sec School, Gool. Both events are being conducted under the banner of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative, reflecting the commitment of the organizers to promote grassroots sports in the region.
Competitions will be held across Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior categories, offering athletes an opportunity to demonstrate their skill and competitive spirit. The Associations have emphasized the importance of fair play, transparency, and professional conduct throughout the championships.
Participation guidelines have been clearly outlined: all athletes must possess a JKTA Athlete License and Black Belt Certificates are mandatory for Senior participants in accordance with the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) regulations. Required documents include a completed registration form signed by parents/guardians, Aadhaar card, JKTA license, and Date of Birth certificate issued by the Municipality or concerned Sarpanch.
