DODA, Feb 17: District Police Doda today organised a Wrestling (Dangal) Competition 2026 at Government Degree College (GDC) Ground, Doda under the Civic Action Programme 2025-26 to promote sportsmanship and youth engagement.
Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta, inaugurated the event. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local wrestlers and a large gathering of spectators.
Among those present were ASP Doda, DySP Headquarters Doda, DySP DAR Doda, DySP Operations Doda, SHO Doda, staff members of Government Degree College Doda, officials from civil and police administration, prominent citizens and youth.
The competition featured several thrilling bouts, with the final match drawing huge applause. The winner of the final bout was awarded Rs 30,000, while the runner-up received Rs 20,000. Cash prizes were also distributed among participating teams as encouragement.
