JAMMU, Feb 10: Tiny Tots Hr Sec School celebrated its Annual cum Sports Day at the school grounds in Sainik Colony with great energy and excitement. The event was graced by J S Johar, Director Police Telecommunication cum CISO J&K Police, who was welcomed by students with a shower of petals.
The chief guest toured the school’s Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Laboratory, where students showcased innovative projects. Guests of honour included Prof H C Vaid, Ashok Khajuria and Rakesh Sharma. Dr Vikram Handa, Principal, presented the annual report highlighting the school’s achievements, while Chairperson Veena Handa and School Director Gurpreet Handa inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial torch carried by Alex Ramos. Kindergarten students marched waving the tricolour and a guard of honour was presented by the school’s house contingents.
The athletic events saw enthusiastic participation across age groups. In the Smiley Race, Myra clinched gold, followed by Raina and Aryan. The Ball Race was won by Piyush, with Aman taking silver and Harman bronze. Deepanshu and Dipesh triumphed in the Caterpillar Race, followed by Rajyavardhan, Sourav, Rakhi and Aarav. In the Frog Race, Priyansh finished first, Chahak second and Kartik third. Pom Pom Race gold went to Advik Dalotra, silver to Prabin Sarki and bronze to Yuvi, while Veer won the Banana Race.
In track events, Divyanshi won the 50m Senior Girls race, with Reeya and Krishma following. Lakshay Pratap claimed the 50m Senior Boys title, with Naresh Sharma second and Mayank Goswami third. Junior races saw Mansi and Sandeep Pal topping their respective categories. Long jumps were dominated by Lakshay Pratap, Naresh Sharma, Anmol Sharma and Sandeep Pal. Fun races for teachers and parents were won by Ajay, Rajinder, Asif, Monika, Kajal Sharma, Kajal Kumari and Anjali, Manisha, Riya, among others. In badminton and chess events, winners included Sachin, Divya, Sandeep Pal, Aryan, Arnav, Mayank Goswami and Anmol Sharma.
Chief Guest Jatinder Singh Johar praised the students’ efforts and emphasized the importance of technology and awareness against mobile addiction, while Prof. H C Vaid highlighted the need to combat drug abuse. Veena Handa lauded the staff and students for organizing a memorable Sports Day. The event concluded with applause and celebrations for all participants.
