RCC Women, Sharda Boys clinch Herath Milan Cup

JAMMU, Feb 6: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Women and Sharda Cricket Club Boys emerged champions of the prestigious Herath Milan Cup after dominant performances in the finals held at MA Stadium here. The tournament was organised by Lalitaditya Sports, Education and Health Organisation (LSEHO) under the theme “Say No to Drugs and Yes to Sports”, aligning with the Fit India Movement.
In the women’s final, RCC Women defeated Durga Club by 45 runs. Batting first in the 10-over contest, RCC posted 107/2, with Ayushi Ambardar scoring a brilliant 46 off 21 balls and Vitasta Kitchlu adding 42. Durga Club were bundled out for 62, with Ayushi, Deepu and Vitasta taking wickets. Ayushi was named player of the tournament.
In the boys’ final, Sharda Club thrashed Kupwara Lions by nine wickets after bowling them out for 50. Manav Koul’s all-round show earned him player of the tournament honours.
At the prize distribution, chief guest Dr Abid Rasheed Shah, joined by Sanjay Bhat, Dr Shakeel, Sujit Matoo, Kirti Dhar and Nisha Gupta presented trophies to winners and runners-up, alongside special and individual awards to standout players.
