Rainswari CC thrashes Kotarani Club by 103 runs in Herath Milan Cup

JAMMU, Feb 1: Rainawari Cricket Club (Women) delivered a clinical thrashing to Kotarani Cricket Club, cruising to a commanding 103-run victory in a lopsided encounter of the Herath Milan Cup, organized by Lalitaditya Sports Education and Health Organisation at MA Stadium here today.

Opting to bowl first, Kotarani handed Rainawari the ideal platform. Openers Ayushi and Vitasta unleashed a masterclass, forging a sensational partnership to propel their side to 134/0 (target for Kotarani). Ayushi blazed an explosive 60 off just 27 balls, laced with 11 boundaries, while Vitasta matched her fire with a brisk 59 off 27 balls, featuring 9 crisp fours—both half-centuries showcasing unflinching grit and precision.

Chasing a mountain, Kotarani crumbled spectacularly, limping to a meager 32 all out in their allotted overs. Rainawari’s bowlers reigned supreme: Mehak Karihaloo starred with 2/6 in two overs, Deepu snared 1/1 in her solitary over, and the supporting cast—Jeevika Koul, Ankita, Sunaina, and Rovia—maintained iron discipline with tight lines and lengths. Seasoned Naiha Pandita and Ashima orchestrated a flawless fielding effort, sealing Kotarani’s fate.

Rainawari’s all-round dominance lights up the tournament, signaling their championship intent.
