JAMMU, Jan 25: A Senior Under Officer (SUO) Arpun Deep Kour of 3 J&K Battalion NCC, Baramulla, has been awarded the prestigious Raksha Mantri Padak during the ongoing Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 in New Delhi. The award was presented by Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister in recognition of her exemplary duty, service and discipline during Operation Sindoor.
Arpun Deep Kour played a pivotal role in coordinating and executing relief efforts for the displaced population of border villages in North Kashmir. Her timely assistance and compassionate relief provided much-needed support to the affected communities, showcasing her selfless leadership and dedication to humanitarian service.
Her impeccable conduct, patience and commitment to national service have made her an inspiring figure for NCC cadets, reinforcing the values of discipline, teamwork and putting the ‘Nation First’. SUO Arpun Deep Kour’s actions have significantly enhanced the prestige of the National Cadet Corps and the Kashmir valley.
