RAJOURI, Jan 15: Registrar of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today flagged off the university sports contingent for participation in the 3rd Chancellor’s Trophy being hosted by the University of Jammu.
Extending his best wishes, the Registrar encouraged the players and officials to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline and fair play while representing the University in the prestigious inter-university championship. He highlighted the importance of such tournaments in promoting teamwork, fitness and competitive excellence among students.
BGSBU is participating in Football (Men), Kabaddi (Men), Kho-Kho (Women) and Athletics (Men & Women). The teams have been prepared under the guidance of the Directorate of Physical Education & Sports with the support of dedicated coaching and training staff.
Abhishek Sharma lauded the efforts of the Directorate of Physical Education & Sports and the supporting staff for their commitment towards grooming the teams. He expressed confidence that the student-athletes would perform creditably and bring pride and laurels to Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University during the championship.
